It is every poker player's dream: hitting a lucky streak and winning one game after another. Not many can say they have experienced a successful streak throughout their career, but Kristen Foxen is one of the very few who can.
In the first quarter of 2025, Fixen managed to win three PokerGO titles, which is an achievement that should be celebrated by the entire Everygame community. Let's take a closer look at what this spectacular poker pro has won this year, and maybe you might be able to learn new tricks and tips that will help you win your next poker match!
Kristen Foxen: A Short Biography
The 38-year-old poker pro was born in Ontario, Canada. In past interviews, she said that she grew up drawing inspiration from legendary poker players like Jennifer Harman. As she watched Poker After Dark, she saw Harman as a strong female player competing at the highest levels, which made her feel she could achieve the same level of success given enough time.
Foxen began taking poker more seriously during her freshman year of college, playing online under the aliases "krissyb24" and "krissy24" on two separate platforms.
It took her about six years to achieve Supernova Elite status on PokerStars, a coveted title she was adorned with for three consecutive years after playing approximately 2.5 million hands per year.
Kristen Foxen's Poker Success & Recent Wins
According to the Hendon Mob Database, Foxen has made $9,890,959 in live earnings over the years, which include five major WSOP bracelet wins. In 2013, she won $173,922 at the $1,000 Ladies No Limit Hold'em Championship, and only three years later, she dominated the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em bounty event.
Foxen won another WSOP online event in 2020, winning $356,412 in the process, followed by two more wins in 2023 and 2024.
And while this successful poker pro played at a few World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour events, she hasn't won any titles at those competitions. However, she did have 9 money finishes at those events, and if you add that to her 84 WSOP money finishes, that is rather impressive.
But while her career was very productive over the years, 2025 is arguably her best year so far. In January, Foxen won 1st place at a PokerGO event, pocketing $197,625. A month later, she came out on top at another event, winning $348,300, followed by another win in April, which left her $158,025 richer.
Combined with her other cash wins in recent months, Foxen earned $1,282,650 in three months – which is an astounding achievement no matter how you look at it.
What Can We Learn from Foxen's Success Story?
Foxen referred to herself as the "Ultimate Grinder" in the past, and when it comes down to it, that is the secret to succeeding in poker: you work hard, you train as much as you can, and you just keep playing until you hit the jackpot.
While movies might make you believe you can learn poker rules in mere days and be lucky enough to win millions of dollars on your first try, that is not something that happens in real life. To become a successful poker player, you need to live and breathe poker. Once you do, the wins will start to stack up slowly but surely, and your efforts will bear fruit!
