A silver medal hanging in front of a bunch of different medals.

More often than not, our news feed is filled with articles about poker pros like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and other renowned players. However, there are majorly successful players out there we don't hear much about, but apparently, they are at the top of the food chain when it comes to cash wins.

The Hendon Mob Poker Database follows all the best players out there, trying to determine who deserves the title of Player of the Year (PoY), even though we are only nearing the end of the first quarter of 2025.

Do you want to know which poker players have had the most successful runs in the past couple of months? This Everygame Poker news report is exactly for you!

All You Need to Know About the Most Successful Players in 2025…So Far

At the top of the list, we have Nick Schulman, a 40-year-old player residing in Las Vegas. Throughout his career he won 6 WSOP bracelets and one World Poker Tour (WPT) title, accumulating almost $23 million in live earnings. 2024 was Schulman's most successful year so far, as he won $3,561,533, and it seems he is trying to break his own record. In less than three months, this great player already made a profit of $1,080,775 – so there is no wonder he is currently the number one player to beat!

Next in line we have the 39-year-old Alabama native Shannon Shorr, also known as "BLUFFORRENT". His life earnings sum up to $14,694,661, and he has 2 WSOP bracelets under his belt and more than a hundred money finishes. In the past three months, he made a profit of $965,850, which is getting really close to his profits from last year (which sum up to $1,497,532).

In third place, we have Canadian poker pro Kristen "KRISSYB24" Foxen, who has already managed to win $1,124,625 this year. That is a pretty impressive sun considering her total live earnings sum up to $9,732,934, which means she has already beaten her own yearly profit record. Foxen's biggest win so far took place at the No Limit Hold'em PokerGO Cup, where she won 1st place in the 7th event, taking home the grand prize of $348,300. Throughout her career, Foxen won 5 WSOP bracelets, and if she keeps progressing at this rate, she is bound to win a lot more!

In fourth place, there is American player Michael Berk, who is relatively new to the poker field, but he is already making a name for himself. His total live earnings stand at "only" $2,038,978, and 2025 was his most successful year so far, with wins that sum up to $720,044.

And last on our list is Joey Weissman, an American poker player with total live earnings of $8,657,997. Last year, he made a profit of $1,710,954, and in the last three months, he has already managed to break this record with $1,138,400 in wins.

Who Will Be This Year's Player of the Year?

While the players we've mentioned have been dominating the poker tables so far, many players might dethrone them in months to come. Poker pros like Biao Ding, Jeremy Becker, and Brandon Wilson have also had a pretty good year so far, and who knows? Maybe they will be able to outshine Weissman and the rest of the top contenders for the Hendon Mob PoY title.
