Bryn Kenney's Poker Career

Born in 1986 in New York, Kenney began playing poker pretty early as his first recorded live cash game was in 2007 at the age of 21. Over the years, he participated in many grand poker events, including the WSOP, World Poker Tour, and European Poker Tour. He won one WSOP bracelet after having 7 final table appearances, in addition to having 43 money finishes in all three events combined.

One of Bryn's biggest successes was winning $1,687,800 in the 2016 WSOP Main Event, but it was quickly overshadowed by an even bigger win at the No-Limit Hold'em – Triton Million for Charity Event in 2019. Winning second place got Kenney the largest single payout in live poker history, adding £16,890,509 to his bank account in one hit.

Poker Cheating Scandal

While Kenney has had a highly profitable poker career so far, it wasn't all plain sailing for the poker pro. A bit over a year ago, Kenney was involved in a shocking scandal, as he was accused of running a cult-like online poker cheating ring.

Another poker pro, Martin Zamani, accused Kenney of hiring people to work together as a group while playing online poker at one of the most popular poker platforms in the US. Zamani said he was part of the cheating scheme himself, but he came clean to make things right. According to him, the cheating tactics included colluding in satellite tournaments, ghosting, and real-time assistance.

Wild rumors arose after the accusations were made, but Kenney decided to put them to rest in an interview, claiming that he never used RTA software or talked to his horses and offered advice. However, Kenney did say that some players worked in unison and ghosted each other on multiple occasions, but that wasn't a regular thing.

However, no concrete proof was provided, so the poker community hasn't bothered Kenney any further.
